Okay, soooo... I created this blog about a year ago and this is my very first post! I keep saying to myself that I will make a post each day, and then a week passes and I still haven't posted anything! Oh well - everyone has to begin somewhere, so here's to my blog beginning :)
Anyway, I'm Shayla and I am a 3rd year Media Specialist at Worth County Primary School in Sylvester, GA. I taught kindergarten for 5 years and then transitioned into the media center after our media specialist retired. The past two years, I've simply been keeping my head above water but this year I'm really starting to come into my own. I'm currently working on my "three year plan" - accomplishing a few things that were on my list and looking toward my "five year plan"!
I hope that one day I'll get a few followers and you all can visit my blog to get great ideas for your media center. I am not an award winning media specialist by any means, but I want to be. I have so many ideas and not enough time in the day. I hope to use this blog to organize my ideas and keep me pushing toward my award winning goal.
